Tax Offices open on two Sundays

Tax Offices will provide consultations on preparing and filing income tax, special income tax for reconstruction, personal consumption tax, and gift tax.
Dates&Time: Sunday, February 24; Sunday, March 3
Reception hours: 8:30am-4:00pm (consultations start from 9:15am)
Tax forms accepted between 8:30am-5:00pm
The reception service may be closed earlier depending on how busy it is.
The period for filing Income tax returns (kakutei-shinkoku) and City and Prefectural taxes is between February 18-March 15(except Saturdays and Sundays).
Even if you don’t need to file an income tax return because your pension income is under 4,000,000 yen,
you need to file city and prefetural taxes to get a deduction for medical expenses.
